This Richard Schmid art is the follow up book to the hugely successful original Alla Prima; so, the publisher, Stove Prairie Press, selected Puritan Press the printer of the original, to print this second book. Puritan Press is one of America’s leading fine art and photography printers with capabilities from limited edition giclee reproductions to museum catalogs and fine art books.
The publisher and author specified a premium case for presentation and post-purchase storage of this highly regarded instructional reference on representational painting. Taylor Box was selected to work with Puritan Press to create a beautiful case to house the book.
The case construction is referred to as a tray with 3-sided hinged lid and features the book resting in a framed well. The box components are wrapped and lined in Ecological Fibers Rainbow Opaque covering material, and the design includes an elegant satin ribbon lift to remove the book. The author’s name was foil stamped on the lid, providing a very premium finish to announce the contents of this heralded and much anticipated volume.
