The Denver-based fashion mavericks at Mint Tradition had big plans for a high end retail box. What ensued was a prime example of how a box can amplify brand and accentuate the product within.

Mint Tradition came to us looking for custom packaging for their line of leather caps. As a company dedicated to the craft of leather, we covered this box with Black Skivertex paper to simulate a true leather feel.
What’s your Angle?
An angled neck tray is the perfect stage for the collateral, but it complicates matters when it comes to designing a luxury hat box that closes securely. To compensate, a hidden tray was added to the lid to ensure a snug fit and a tight seal.
Foiled Again
A gold motif prevails in this design. To create a modern, distinguished look, Mint Tradition opted for an exposed neck tray wrapped in gold foil to contrast with the stark black leatherette of the box.
We were given special instructions from Mint Tradition to deliberately invert their crown insignia to represent the ‘M’ in Mint Tradition.
It’s not often that you see a baseball hat in premium custom packaging, but changing tastes and emerging styles like those pioneered at Mint Tradition could make the deluxe baseball cap as dignified as a jacket and tie.
