Luxury Packaging that Impacts the Beauty of Skin and the Environment
When you formulate the most advanced skin care products on the market, you want to showcase your goods with grace and sophistication. Packaging with clean lines and minimalist composition is a must so the power and confidence of your creation can be fully expressed.
That was the design mission luxury brand U Beauty presented to Taylor Box for their exclusive collaboration with ReFa. The beauty set, consisting of U Beauty’s rich, deeply hydrating moisturizer and ReFa’s deluxe, platinum-coated face and body roller, and available only at Neiman Marcus, required a box that would securely display the combo and reflect the upscale look and feel of the high-end department store.
Inspired by U Beauty’s dedication to sustainability, Taylor Box designed a 100% recyclable package. The base and lid are constructed with Newman vat board, while the insert is made of Newman SBS board. The FSC-certified and plastic-free Lumina platinum paper is supplied from Ecological Fibers, and General Roll Leaf produced the foil for the branding imprint.
The environmentally friendly composition of the box was essential to U Beauty, as the company prides itself on using 100% green energy to manufacture its products. They also have a partnership with One Tree Planted, which plants one tree for each product U Beauty sells. The earth-conscious packaging from Taylor Box continues that ethos and helps U Beauty maintain its Butterfly Mark. This industry-leading certification highlights luxury businesses dedicated to positively impacting nature and society.
The result is a simple rectangular box with a die cut window to display the items inside. The lightly textured, gray package is elegant enough to stand on its own, yet the hushed shape and tone of the design gives the package a dignified grace.
U Beauty’s commitment to transparency and quality, along with Taylor Box’s exacting design parameters, made this partnership one we thoroughly enjoyed.
