CBD Packaging for A.F.C.
Hemp-focused company, A.F.C. (Advocates For Cannabis) seeks to demystify the hemp and CBD industry with a focus on good science and honest information. With a backbone of education and consumer transparency, their suite of hemp products distinguishes itself from other CBD oil products and brands, as does their unique spray bottle delivery method. A.F.C. needed product boxes that reflected their brand and protected their quality hemp products, and Taylor Box jumped at the opportunity to help.
Founders Anna Addison and Calvin Landrum saw and experienced the extensive benefits of CBD oil and hemp products, from anxiety relief and better sleep, to better gut health and reduced inflammation. But they were confused and frustrated with the lack of truthful, science-backed hemp products on the market. Working with trusted scientists and hemp breeding experts, they founded A.F.C. with a mission to advocate for wellness and balance achieved through their rigorously tested products.
A.F.C. sought four different sized boxes for their CBD oil sprays for people and pets. All boxes needed to coordinate with each other and share design and construction elements to provide a cohesive product line. With products that are cGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practice) compliant, organically grown, non-GMO, vegan, Kosher, and pesticide-free, it was important to select high quality paper and box materials to reflect A.F.C.'s manufacturing standards. Unlike other product boxes that tend to be thrown away, the goal was to create a durable “suit of armor” to protect the oil’s cannabinoids from harmful light while being able to blend in on a shelf with high-end beauty products and other luxe items.
The packaging is a two-piece inverted box-and-lid design, with the lid serving as a pedestal base for each glass spray bottle. Each box acts as a protective sleeve that when lifted, reveals the product nestled in its base. The boxes are constructed of black chipboard from ESKA and wrapped in Mohawk Via paper. All box bases are gold foil stamped in a geometric pattern replicating organic patterns found in nature. All surfaces are covered in a matte aqueous coating, an environmentally friendly water-based coating that prevents scuffing, improves durability, and looks beautiful.
A.F.C. product boxes will make a luxe addition to any medicine cabinet, bathroom shelf, or pet supply cupboard. The box exterior is only amplified by the sophisticated spray bottle packaging containing A.F.C.’s whole plant, full-spectrum hemp extract.
