READY FOR A REBOUND

THRIFTY THINKING: Daniel Shedd President of Taylor Box Company in Warren, says while the manufacturer has begun to see marginal improvements in business activity and revenue, he remains in "cash preservation mode." That means no hiring, except for one long-standing open position, and no major investments.

When Dan Shedd, Taylor Box Company President, was sent a survey from Providence Business News about Rhode Island small business and their plans for pandemic recovery, that it would land him on the front page.
As businesses are struggling globally, it's good to understand where small businesses across the United States are facing challenges, but more importantly in our backyard which affects us directly.
While Dan mentions in the article that Taylor Box Company has put many things on hold including hiring - since the article was published on September 24-October 1, 2020 as Vol. 35, No. 27 we have had several positions open up within the factory. As clients are getting back on track and consumer confidence and spending has surpassed expectations brands are moving forward with production. In less than a month, we've already seen significant positive changes. Let's hope that this is a sign of things to come.
